What you might be able to do, is if the console version was sold through the consoles' online stores-rather than as a physical product-you could ask MS/Sony/Whoever to give a discount or even free copies of the new game, without needing to have access to the old game to change it. Maybe the Pimps, as a gesture of good will, could do a timed discount for owners of the original console port like Bandai did when they phased out Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition for Dark Souls Remastered.

Consider the next console version 7 Days to Die 2023 and the first version 7 Days to Die 2017 and you won't feel so screwed. add more info on store pages on exactly what and what it doesn't have ie what stage updates it is closest too - currently the game is misleading purchasers expecting the full pc. the current console version does not match up with a 30 quid purchase. Telltale called the existing console version the official release., And TFP can't update the existing console version due to the Sony and Microsoft store policies on released games. Reduce the price of current gen 7 days to die from 27.99 to the same as pc 18.99.
Consider the next console version 7 Days to Die 2023 and the first version 7 Days to Die 2017 and you won't feel so screwed.
